Internships at OLPC and Telefonica Research, Madrid
From IPID
One Laptop per Child (OLPC) is a nonprofit organization created by Nicholas Negroponte to design, manufacture and distribute laptop computers that are sufficiently affordable to provide every child in the world access to new channels of learning, sharing and self-expression. The XO laptop is a very low-cost, child-friendly laptop computer. It is sold to governments of developing nations to be given to school-aged children on a basis of one laptop per child. OLPC’s founders see this as a critical step in the eradication of poverty.
